A Weakness Measure for GR(1) Formulae

چکیده

Abstract When dealing with unrealizable specifications in reactive synthesis, finding the weakest environment assumptions that ensure realizability is often considered a desirable property. However, little effort has been dedicated to defining or evaluating notion of weakness formally. The question whether one assumption weaker than another commonly interpreted by considering implication relationship between two or, equivalently, their language inclusion. This interpretation fails provide any insight into when (or inclusion) does not hold. To our knowledge, only measure capable comparing formulae this case entropy, but even it cannot distinguish expressed as fairness properties. A Russell Measure for Modeling Environmental Performance

Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) has been long employed as a popular methodology to evaluate the performance of various production activities with multiple inputs and outputs. However, an important issue is that the production process in the real world inevitably generates undesirable outputs (like wastes and pollutants) along with desirable outputs. Therefore, the undesirable outputs should be ...

Eberlein Measure and Mechanical Quadrature Formulae . II . Numerical Results

In a previous paper it was shown how a probability measure (Eberlein measure) on the closed unit ball of the sequence space, h, can be used to find the variance a2 of the error functional for a quadrature formula for the fc-dimensional cube, regarded as a random variable. Here we give values of a for some specific formulae.

Eberlein Measure and Mechanical Quadrature Formulae. I: Basic Theory*

A uniform theory of numerical approximation of multiple integrals of arbitrary multiplicity is a long felt need of applied mathematics. In the absence of something better, the Monte Carlo method is the one most commonly used now (see [6] and [7]). For the integration of functions of one variable, for which purpose useful classical formulae exist, the error estimates are unsatisfactory inasmuch ...

Mahler ’ s measure : proof of two conjectured formulae

In this note we prove the two formulae conjectured by D. W. Boyd [Experiment. Math. 7 (1998), 37-82], m(y(x + 1) + y(x + 6x + 1) + (x + 1)) = 8 3 L ′ (χ−4,−1), m(y(x + 1) + y(x − 10x + 1) + (x + 1)) = 20 3 L ′ (χ−3,−1), where m denotes the logarithmic Mahler measure for two-variable polynomials.
